Correspondence
This business letter demonstrates what I learned this semester about business writing and the use of ethos, pathos, and logos. Before this course, I mostly thought business writing only needed to sound formal. However, I learned that effective business writing also requires persuasion, organization, and understanding the audience.
One important concept I learned was ethos. which focuses on credibility and professionalism. In my business letter, I used a respectful tone, proper formatting, and professional language. I learned that the way a message is presented can affect whether the audience takes the writer seriously.

Also learning about pathos, which involves connecting emotionally with the audience. Even in professional writing, emotions can influence how a message is received. In my letter, I carefully used polite and thoughtful wording to show understanding and consideration for the reader's perspective. This helped make the message feel more genuine and respectful rather than cold or demanding. In addition, I used logos by organizing my ideas clearly and supporting my points with logical reasoning.
Overall, this assignment helped me better understand how rhetoric is used in business writing. I learned how ethos, pathos, and logos work together to create stronger communication and help writers connect more effectively with their audience.
